Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Laundry Aide at Oakwood Manor in Vidor, TX to support the delivery of laundry services for residents.

You will wash, dry, fold, iron, and deliver linen and residents' clothing while upholding sanitation standards. Experience in healthcare laundry is preferred; excellent English communication is required; full-time hours with benefits and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care or healthcare laundry department preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Load machines with proper weight and cycle, and dispense detergents during laundering.
• Sort laundry by color and type for washing.
• Transfer laundered items to dryers in sanitized containers.
• Fold and stack dried items in proper order.
• Iron or mend items as required.
• Distribute personal laundry to patients' closets.
• Clean and disinfect laundry areas and equipment.
• Identify and correct safety hazards.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment and supplies.
• Serve as a team leader/role model.
