Description

The primary purpose of this position is to perform daily activities in the Laundry Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation, ensuring adequate linen supply, and coordinating laundry services with nursing staff.

Key duties include following work schedules, reporting incidents, adhering to fire safety policies, using safety equipment, maintaining clean and safe work areas, handling chemicals safely, using personal protective equipment, managing supplies, cleaning equipment, performing laundry procedures, and distributing laundry during emergencies. Confidentiality of resident information must be maintained at all times.

Qualifications

Applicants must maintain sanitation and safety standards, follow instructions for cleaning procedures, and be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, with the ability to move such weight over a distance of at least 50 feet.
