Laundry Aide Position

40 hours per week. Includes every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday. 6:30am - 2:30pm.

Laundry Aide Pay:

$16.95 - $18.30, with an additional $1.25 for weekends.

Job Responsibilities of Laundry Aide:

• Collect soiled laundry, handling it to prevent the spread of airborne bacteria. Use precautions when washing "contaminated" or "isolation" linen.
• Distribute clean laundry in laundry carts.
• Follow laundry procedures, sorting items by category.
• Dry items properly according to the texture of the material.
• Fold laundry when properly dried.
• Protect linens and clothing during laundering.
• Caretake laundry equipment. Ensure carts for linen distribution are clean. Clean washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment at least once weekly.

Employment Qualifications of Laundry Aide:

Ability to follow simple oral directions. Some laundry experience preferred. Working knowledge of commercial laundry processes, equipment, and procedures is helpful. Must support the mission and values of Fairmount Homes.
