Job summary

Letcher Manor is seeking a full-time Laundry Aide to join our team. The role involves performing general laundry tasks and distributing residents’ clothing in a respectful and organized environment.

Qualifications

• Performs general laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, ironing and storage.
• Preferred to have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform general laundry tasks, such as washing, drying, and folding laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, iron, and store all facility laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute all residents’ personal clothing.
• Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, spills, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc.
• Discard waste and trash into proper containers and re-line receptacles with plastic liners.
• Ensure that work areas and equipment are organized and cleaned during and after shifts.
• Clean laundry equipment, carts, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general laundry tasks, such as washing, drying, and folding laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, iron, and store all facility laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute all residents’ personal clothing.
• Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, spills, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc.
• Discard waste and trash into proper containers and re-line receptacles with plastic liners.
• Assure that work assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc are properly stored during work periods, as well as before leaving the area for breaks, meals, and end of workday.
• Clean laundry equipment, carts, etc.

Requirements:

• It is preferred that the Laundry Aide will have a minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program.
