Covenant Living at Inverness in Tulsa, OK is seeking a part-time Laundry Aide to manage resident laundry, labeling, and distribution. You will handle in-house washing and coordinate with outside dry-cleaning services to ensure items are returned correctly to residents.

Strong English communication and independent work capability are required, along with prior housekeeping or laundry experience. A caring, resident-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pick up, sort, launder, and redistribute personal laundry for assigned residents.
• Label and distribute items to be laundered or dry-cleaned by outside services.
• Collect soiled resident clothing from rooms and nursing areas for laundering.
• Wash laundry at appropriate temperatures with correct detergents and chemicals.
• Operate washing machine and dryer for laundry processes.
• Advise supervisor of worn-out or unusable items; notify family as needed.
• Launder small items like posies, sheepskins, and light bedspreads as required.
• Sort and distribute laundered items to resident rooms and storage areas.
• Distribute clean towels and collect soiled towels from resident rooms.
• Inform supervisor of laundry supply needs and assist in linen distribution.

Join us!*The purpose of this position is to pick up, sort, launder, and redistribute personal laundry for assigned residents. This position ensures the proper labeling and distribution of personal items to be laundered and dry cleaned by outside services and the redistribution of such items.* Collect soiled resident clothing from resident rooms and from the utility rooms,and receive other items from nursing personnel for laundering.* Separate items to be laundered and dry-cleaned by outside services, checking clothing andmarking with name tags as needed. Check returned laundry and distribute to residents.* Wash laundry at proper temperatures with proper kinds and amounts of detergents andother cleaning chemicals. Operate washing machine and dryer in laundry process.* Advise supervisor of items that are worn out or unusable, so family can be notified.* Launder posies, sheepskins, light bedspreads or other resident belongings as needed.* Sort and distribute laundered items to resident rooms and storage areas as appropriate.* Collect soiled hand towels from resident rooms and distribute clean towels.* Advise supervisor of laundry supply needs.* Assist in distribution of house linens from linen service as needed.* Be familiar with duties and responsibilities of housekeeper position in order to fill in ifneeded.Requirements:1.
