Seneca Health Care Center in Town of West Seneca, NY, is hiring a Laundry Aide. You will help ensure residents and departments have clean linens and clothing, supporting a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.

This role offers a day shift, Monday–Friday, with competitive hourly pay. Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, labeling, and distributing laundry; maintaining supply levels; operating equipment safely; and adhering to HIPAA and infection-control policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required; 6 months housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to lift and process laundry safely.

Responsibilities

• Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and linens.
• Ensure adequate supply of clean linens for departments.
• Label and return items to rooms and storage.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and manage chemicals.
• Weigh and track laundry per procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and assist with cleaning.
• Report equipment issues and safety hazards.
• Follow HIPAA and infection control policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Laundry Aide Rate: $16.60-$19.06 Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday

Seneca Health Care Center is looking to add a Laundry Aide to its team. In this role, you’ll help ensure residents and departments have clean linens and clothing while supporting a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, hang, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry
• Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available and distributed to departments throughout the facility
• Label and process resident personal clothing and return clean items to appropriate rooms and storage areas
• Operate laundry equipment safely and maintain proper chemical supplies for laundry operations
• Weigh, track, and process laundry according to facility procedures and sanitation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned cleaning tasks
• Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards promptly
• Follow HIPAA, infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum experience requirement: No experience required; 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred
• Ability to safely lift, carry, sort, and process laundry throughout the workday
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and resident-centered environment
