Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Taylorsville, NC is seeking a reliable PRN Laundry Aide to join our team. You’ll ensure residents have clean clothing, fresh linens, and a comfortable living environment, with flexible PRN shifts based on facility needs.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, hospitality, commercial laundry, or healthcare experience preferred, not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Dependable, reliable and hardworking.

Responsibilities

• Keep laundry fresh and clean: wash, dry, fold, and distribute clothing and linens.
• Label and organize resident belongings.
• Follow infection prevention guidelines.
• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely.

Position Details

What You'll Do – Help Keep Our Residents Comfortable!

As a PRN Laundry Aide, you'll play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and proper care of resident clothing and facility linens.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Keep Laundry Fresh & Clean: Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, bedding, towels, and facility linens.
• Care for Resident Belongings: Properly handle, label, and organize personal clothing to ensure items are returned to the correct residents.
• Maintain Clean & Sanitary Linens: Follow proper laundry procedures and infection prevention guidelines.
• Keep Supplies Stocked: Monitor and restock laundry detergents, cleaning products, and necessary supplies.
• Operate Laundry Equipment Safely: Use commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to facility procedures.
• Maintain an Organized Workspace: Keep laundry rooms, equipment, and storage areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Handle Soiled Linens Properly: Follow facility protocols for collecting, transporting, and processing soiled laundry.
• Support Teamwork: Work collaboratively with nursing, housekeeping, and other departments to meet resident needs.
• Report Concerns: Notify appropriate staff of equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or laundry-related concerns.

What We're Looking For

• Previous Laundry, Hospitality, Commercial Laundry, or Healthcare Experience Preferred – NOT Required!
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Dependable, Reliable & Hardworking Individuals
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow infection prevention, sanitation, and safety guidelines
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work PRN shifts based on facility needs and availability
• Positive Attitude & Team-Oriented Mindset
• Compassionate and respectful approach when interacting with residents and coworkers
