Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. Sewickley, PA is seeking a Laundry Aide to support our main campus operations during the 10 pm–6:30 am shift, Sunday through Thursday.

The role is hourly and non-exempt, focusing on supplying clean linen and related items to residents and departments. Responsibilities include collecting soiled linen, sorting, washing and drying with appropriate machines, and delivering finished loads.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow simple oral or written instructions.
• Must be able to operate laundry equipment; some math ability required.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet required clearances.

Responsibilities

• Collect all soiled linen from all departments at designated times.
• Sort linen according to material and status.
• Wash all linen using appropriate washers and settings.
• Dry all laundry and fold, then deliver to the proper department.
• Keep laundry equipment and area clean and free of debris.
• Report malfunctions of laundry equipment to supervisor promptly.

About this position

Description:

Verland is now accepting applications for the Laundry Aide position at the Main Campus is Sewickley.

Shifts available:

Full Time- 40 hours

10 pm - 6:30am Sunday thru Thursday

The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring that individuals are adequately supplied with proper clean linen and associated items. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Contributions:

• Collect all soiled linen from all departments at designated times.
• Sort linen according to material and status.
• Wash all linen in appropriate washers.
• Use soap formulated for specific types of laundering.
• Use correct washer settings and amounts of soap as recommended by manufacturer.
• Dry all laundry appropriately, folds and delivers laundry to the proper department.
• Keep laundry equipment and entire laundry complex clean and free of debris.
• Report all malfunctions of laundry equipment to supervisor immediately.
• Perform related duties as requested.
• May only access the minimum information that is necessary to perform job and will comply with Verland’s privacy practices.
