Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or healthcare preferred.
• Must be able to pass Level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled linens and clothing and sorts articles for washing.
• Checks marking on residents' clothes and linens and marks items as needed.
• Inspects articles for wear and tear.
• Delivers clothing, linens, and other articles to appropriate locations in the facility.
• Cleans equipment and work area in the laundry daily and as necessary.
• Must be able to lift without restrictions and perform routine manual tasks.
• Position requires continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing.
• Occasionally lifts items weighing over 50 pounds.
• Demonstrates dexterity and coordination to identify dirt and debris.

Laundry Aide

Job Summary:

Shores Nursing and Rehab Center, a state-of-the-art facility in Port St. Joe, Florida, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services Department. As a Laundry Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our laundry facilities and maintaining a high level of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Collects soiled linens and clothing and sorts articles for washing
• Checks marking on residents' clothes and other linens of the facility and mark as required if necessary
• Inspects articles for wear and tear
• Delivers clothing, linens, and other articles to appropriate places in the facility (i.e., resident rooms, linen closets, dietary department, etc.)
• Cleans equipment and work area in the laundry daily and as necessary
• Must be able to lift without restrictions
• The position demands continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
• The work requires the occasional lifting of items weighing over 50 pounds
• The duties necessitate considerable dexterity, hand, foot, and eye coordination, and concentration as well as visual acuity to see dirt, dust, and debris
• Complete other duties as assigned

Quaifications:

• Experience in housekeeping preferred
• Experience in healthcare preferred
• Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
