Tennessee State Veterans is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide for our full-time Day Shift (6am–2pm) at our Murfreesboro campus. You will work closely with Environmental Services staff to maintain high-quality laundry services for residents and staff, ensuring cleanliness and order.

Qualifications include prior laundry/housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred; ability to read Standard English and work independently.

Responsabilités

• Sort and separate laundry items according to color, fabric type, and care instructions.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers).
• Load and unload laundry machines with proper weights and settings.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and products to remove stains and odors.
• Check items for stains and damages before laundering.
• Inspect and fold cleaned laundry items and store properly.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and inform supervisor when restocking is needed.
• Assist with delivery of clean laundry to appropriate areas or individuals.
• Follow safety procedures and keep laundry area clean.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service.

We are currently looking for Laundry Aide for our full-time Day Shift - 6am to 2pm opening.

You will work closely with Environmental Services Supervisor and other team members to meet the needs of our residents and to ensure high quality laundry service is maintained for our staff and residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous laundry/housekeeping/cleaning aide experience in a healthcare or long term care setting preferred. Individuals must be able to work independently and reschedule cleaning activities to meet the needs of residents or nursing staff. Individuals must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Must be able to read and understand Standard English and be able to work with standard cleaning chemicals.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
