Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Zephyrhills is hiring a Laundry Aide to maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area. You will operate washers/dryers and ensure linens are clean, categorized, and distributed according to facility procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow safety protocols, and physical stamina. Prior laundry experience is a plus, and teamwork is essential in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and storage area.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of germs and ensure a safe work environment.
• Sort and process soiled linens and clothing according to established procedures.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment to clean and sanitize linens and clothing.
• Inspect clean linens and clothing for stains, tears, or other damage, and report issues to supervisor.
• Fold, stack, and distribute clean linens and clothing to designated areas within the facility.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisor when supplies need replenished.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
