Job summary

Dyer Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable Laundry Attendant to stock units with clean linens and distribute personal items to residents. You will pick up dirty linens, wash, dry, and fold them while following safety procedures and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and promote risk management policies.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE, MSDS, and LOTO rules.
• Handle materials with potential exposure to hazards or fluids.
• Contribute to team goals and collaborate with staff.
• Maintain stock of clean linens and ensure items are passed to residents.
• Follow established policy and procedures at all times.

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that units are stocked with clean linens and that personal items are washed/passed out to our residents. Picking up dirty linens, washing, drying, folding.

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that units are stocked with clean linens and that personal items are washed/passed out to our residents. Picking up dirty linens, washing, drying, folding.

Overall Responsibilities

• Responsible for collecting, cleaning, and redistributing the community laundry.
• Partners with community team to ensure the community is in compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies, adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and Lockout Tag out procedures.
• Team members may be exposed to blood and or body fluids with potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.
• Actively participates as a member of a team and is committed to working toward team goals.
• Laundry is responsible for ensuring that units are stocked with clean linens and personal items are washed/passed out to our residents.
• Picking up dirty linens, washing, drying, folding.
• Proper policy and procedures followed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED preferred.

• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
• Competent in organizational, and time management skills
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all community procedures and guidelines and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrates initiative.
• Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions.
