Job summary

Sheffield Manor Nursing & Rehab Center in Detroit, MI is seeking a Laundry Aide to maintain clean linens and a safe environment for residents and staff. You will support daily laundry operations, follow facility policies, and participate in cross-training with housekeeping to assist as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Respond productively to tasks and handle additional projects as assigned.
• Cleans linens to department procedures and cleaning schedule.
• Disposes of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste, per facility policies and procedures.
• Complies with all safety instructions when using chemicals.
• Cross-train in Housekeeping and assist as needed.
