Job summary

Laurels of Galesburg in Galesburg, MI is seeking a part-time Laundry Aide to provide laundry services that support a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include handling laundry per department procedures, disposing of waste safely, complying with safety instructions when using chemicals, and cross-training in housekeeping as needed. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper.

• Cleans linens to department procedures and cleaning schedule.
• Disposes of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Complies with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals.
• Cross train in Housekeeping and assist as needed.

Laundry services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.
