Laundry Aide

Paul House & Health Care Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry Aide to join our team. The Laundry Aide plays an important role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment by ensuring resident clothing, linens, and other facility laundry are properly cleaned, handled, and distributed.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens

• Handle soiled and clean laundry according to established infection-control and sanitation procedures

• Ensure resident clothing and personal items are properly identified and returned to the appropriate resident

• Maintain appropriate separation of clean and soiled laundry

• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and properly

• Maintain clean and organized laundry rooms, work areas, and storage areas

• Stock and distribute linens and other laundry supplies as needed

• Monitor laundry supplies and report low inventory to the appropriate supervisor

• Report damaged clothing, missing items, equipment concerns, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor

• Follow proper procedures for handling potentially contaminated linens and materials

• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality when handling personal belongings

• Follow facility policies, infection-control practices, and safety procedures

• Assist with additional housekeeping or environmental services duties as needed

• Perform additional laundry duties as assigned

Schedule
