Job summary

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a dependable Laundry Aide to support our environmental services team. In this role you'll ensure linens and facility areas are clean and organized to the highest standards.

This is a full-time position with a schedule 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM and pay $16.00–$17.00 per hour. Prior laundry or housekeeping experience in healthcare preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of laundry and/or housekeeping experience.
• Knowledge of proper laundry procedures and infection control practices.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry laundry carts and supplies.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and linens.
• Label and inventory clothing to ensure proper identification.
• Clean and maintain laundry equipment and work areas.
• Deliver laundry to resident rooms and departments.
• Follow infection control policies and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Assist with general housekeeping of resident rooms and common areas.
• Report maintenance issues or supply shortages to supervision.

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry Aide to join our environmental services team. In this role, you'll help provide a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents by ensuring linens, clothing, and facility areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens.
• Inventory and label resident clothing to ensure proper identification.
• Handle soiled and contaminated linens according to infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms and designated departments.
• Clean and maintain laundry equipment and work areas.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms, restrooms, hallways, common areas, floors, windows, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and restock housekeeping and restroom supplies.
• Assist with terminal cleaning of resident rooms following discharge or transfer.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, infection prevention guidelines, and OSHA safety standards.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
• Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of proper laundry procedures, cleaning techniques, and infection control practices.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry laundry carts and supplies throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must maintain resident confidentiality and treat all residents with dignity and respect.
• Must successfully complete required training and comply with all facility policies and safety regulations.
