Job summary

Brio Living Services in Chelsea, MI is seeking a part-time Launderer to support daily laundry operations and housekeeping for residents. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and clothing, ensuring items are clean, fresh, and ready for use. You will also help clean rooms and common areas and follow infection control procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Shift times are daytime, with weekend rotation as described.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in a long-term care facility or medical environment, required.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.

Compensation: $16.97 - $20.69 / hour

Description

Schedule: Part-Time: 24 hours/week | 7:00am-3:30pm | Varies Monday-Friday | Every other weekend rotation
Shift Premiums: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm $1.00 | Weekend (Fri 10:31 pm - Sun 11:00 pm) $1.00

What You'll Do:

As a Launderer, you’ll play an important role in helping keep our community clean, comfortable, and well-stocked for residents each day. In this role, you’ll support daily laundry operations by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing to ensure residents and team members have the supplies they need. You’ll operate laundry equipment safely, follow proper cleaning and infection control procedures, and inspect items for quality to ensure they are clean, fresh, and ready for use.

You may also assist with general housekeeping support as needed, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas, sanitizing surfaces, replenishing supplies, and helping maintain a welcoming environment throughout the community.
