Job summary

Brio Living Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for a full-time role in our EVS team. You will maintain clean, safe, and inviting living spaces for residents, following high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The position offers a consistent daytime schedule, a weekend rotation with premium pay, and comprehensive benefits. Candidates should be able to lift up to 35 pounds and communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience as a housekeeper in a long-term care facility or medical environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.
• Vacuum and mop floors, carpets, and rugs.
• Cleans residents’ rooms, recreational areas, offices, and hallways as assigned.
• Change bed linens and make beds according to established standards.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces, appliances, and utensils.
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
• Organize and maintain storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Adhere to established cleaning schedules and procedures.

Description

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Monday -Friday 7am-3:30pm | Rotating weekends, One holiday per year

Shift Premiums: Weekend (Fri 11:00 pm - Sun 10:59 pm) 0.50
