Job summary

Lurie Children’s Hospital is now interviewing and hiring for our comprehensive transition-to-practice Respiratory Care Practitioner Residency program. The New Graduate RCP will practice, under the direct supervision of an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner, to develop clinical skills and professional growth.

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner at Lurie Children’s, you will support neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients with compassionate respiratory care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program with an associate degree.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active NBRC CRT credential required.
• Current IL licensure or active IL temporary license in process.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients under supervision.
• Support and participate in the transition-to-practice residency to develop clinical independence.
• Follow facility policies and maintain professional certifications within required timeframes.

Education

Associate Degree in Respiratory Care

CRT Credential NBRC

BLS Certification (AHA)

IL Licensure Status (current or temp)

RRT Credential NBRC to be obtained within 180 days
