Job summary

Warner Norcross + Judd LLP is inviting applications for entry-level associates to join the firm in fall 2027. New associates will work on substantive client matters across the firm with structured training and mentoring to build core skills and a long-term practice.

Positions will be based in Detroit or Grand Rapids. Initial assignments will span multiple practice areas through the Job Jar system, helping you discover interests and strengths while aligning with client needs and firm

Qualifications

• Current 3L student expected to earn JD by June 2027.
• Eligibility to sit for July 2027 Michigan bar exam and admission in Michigan.
• Strong academic record; top 20% preferred.
• Excellent research, writing, analytical and oral communication skills.
• Collaborative approach with sound judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze complex legal issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, client communications and other legal documents.
• Support discovery, due diligence, negotiations, closings, hearings, depositions and client meetings.
• Manage assignments and deadlines with attention to quality, efficiency and client service.
• Collaborate with partners, senior counsel, associates and professional staff across offices and practice areas.
• Participate in training, mentoring, pro bono and community opportunities.
