Job summary

Salas O’Brien in Monroe Township, NJ is seeking an Entry-Level Plumbing and Fire Protection Designer to support all project phases from inception to construction, with mentorship and training.

Responsibilities include designing plumbing and fire protection systems, collaborating with engineers, and coordinating with other disciplines; 0-3 years experience; CAD/Revit/Bluebeam preferred; on-site with up to 25% travel; base salary range $70k-$85k with benefits.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering or related Science/Engineering Degree, preferred.
• 2
• 0 to 3 years of experience.
• Experience with CAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement designs as directed by senior designers and engineers.
• Collaborate with technical staff to design and detail new systems, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to quality assurance measures.
• Participate in on-site observations, information gathering, and interactions with clients and contractors during both the design and construction phases.
• Design plumbing, fire protection, medical, and laboratory gas systems following written and verbal directions from senior designers or engineers.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines to ensure constructability and maintainability of engineered systems.
