Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking an Intern in the Launch Vehicle Systems Engineering group in Austin, TX. You will assist in projects essential to vehicle success, tracking budgets, changes, and requirements, while building tools and documentation for critical tasks.

You’ll develop scripts to automate tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand vehicle needs and impacts, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment or a recent graduate of a BS or MS program at an accredited university.
• Hands-on, evolving environment with curiosity and initiative.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Strong understanding of design fundamentals in the discipline.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to prioritise and execute tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist systems engineering teams in the launch vehicle department.
• Build tools, methods or documentation to aid critical tasks.
• Create scripts to automate and integrate tasks.
• Lead changes as required by the systems engineering team.
• Assist in CAD Release process as needed.
• Collaborate across teams to understand vehicle needs and impacts.
