Job summary

Firefly Aerospace seeks a Vehicle Integration Technician to efficiently assemble and test the Alpha Launch Vehicle. The role requires strong avionics/assembly background and travel up to 40% to support launch operations.

Expect collaboration with engineers and a hands-on environment in Briggs, TX. Responsibilities include following assembly procedures, integrating flight hardware, and ensuring quality in ESD environments using standard tools and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex aviation assemblies, including harness diagrams and on-vehicle testing.
• 2+ years with IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001 or ANSI/ESD S20.20.
• Proficient with DMM and avionics/mechanical hand tools plus precision measurement tools.
• Able to travel up to 40% and adapt to evolving processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for assembly and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Follow complex assembly procedures and work instructions.
• Execute integration processes.
• Stage, set up, assemble, test and install flight hardware including harnessing.
• Familiarize with working in ESD environments.
• Use required tooling and fixturing.
• Follow planning instructions for assembly and integration of subsystems.
• Communicate effectively with engineers and teammates.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between design and build.
• Support engineering in manufacturability, producibility and design assembly using standard parts.
