Job summary

Relativity Space seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to embed reliability into the Terran R program. You will interface with design, manufacturing, test and launch teams to ensure quality throughout development and production.

Own design standards, process documentation, and nonconformance workflows to drive rapid yet rigorous decisions. The role emphasizes GD&T proficiency, PLM/MES/ERP/QMS software use, and collaboration across engineering and manufacturing functions to balance risk and speed.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other STEM field with minimum 3 years as a Quality Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Extensive experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, production and test personnel.
In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing/complex assembly practices and typical quality processes/controls.
Knowledge of PLM, MES, ERP and QMS software and GD&T proficiency.
Ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems and coordinate across multiple teams.
Strong communication and presentation skills to management and teams.

Responsibilities

Ownership areas may include design standardization, DFM, and configuration management and control.
Planning responsibilities include work instruction reviews, process development, and documentation of rework/repair.
Manufacturing duties include in-process build verification and coordination of travelled work.
Program tasks cover nonconformance ticket processes, as-built verification, and root cause/corrective action.
Lead initiatives to embed quality into the Terran R program and develop inspection walk downs and automation support.
