Job summary

Contechs is seeking an energetic Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), Launch Support to join our client’s growing team in Michigan. The role is embedded with program teams to drive supplier readiness from APQP through Job 1, ensuring PPAP approvals and on-time delivery of conforming parts for production launches.

The SQE will manage the full APQP process across an assigned supplier portfolio, lead containment and corrective actions for launch-phase quality issues, coordinate GP-12 and incoming

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent; relevant experience accepted.
• 5+ years supplier quality with involvement in launches incl APQP, PPAP, and supplier readiness.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with stamped components, plastics, seating, lighting, etc.

Responsibilities

• Drive APQP process across assigned suppliers and track milestones.
• Lead PPAP submissions and approvals for launch readiness.
• Coordinate GP-12 / incoming inspection requirements and tooling confirmations.
• Lead containment and corrective actions for launch-phase quality issues.
