Job summary

General Motors is seeking an engineer to lead the design, development, and release of exterior lighting systems for GM programs, including EV and ICE platforms. You will drive concept development through production launch and define performance requirements aligned with customer needs and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in exterior lighting or automotive systems.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, BOM creation, and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and release of exterior lighting components and systems for GM vehicle programs.
• Support concept development through production launch.
• Define performance requirements based on customer needs, benchmarking, regulations, and program objectives.
• Lead packaging integration and manage design feasibility.
• Develop and manage NX/Teamcenter math data, packaging studies, and vehicle integration activities.
