Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer (Production) to lead production optimization across Falcon and Dragon programs. You will analyze delivery, capacity, and cost challenges, and develop models to align resources with demand.

You will work with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to improve quality, safety, and efficiency while managing complex, fast-paced production environments. Onsite in Hawthorne, CA with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering.
1+ years using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for analysis or modeling dynamic systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and cost problems for production.
Work with teams to develop and manage production strategy to mitigate risks and improve quality, output, safety, and cost.
Develop process flow models to analyze production system behavior and synchronize output with other elements of SpaceX.
Identify operational challenges, determine root causes, and develop solutions.
Develop and track key performance measures and identify decisions to optimize production to meet demand.
Improve system and process performance within and between production elements.
Collaborate with cross‑department partners to synchronize efforts across supply chain, engineering, operations, and accounting.
Capture best practices of production systems and manage organizational knowledge.
