Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful launches by developing tools to track launch readiness to customer deliverables, launch metrics versus business case.
• Ensure PDP is followed for all launches, including MSD workshops and Zero Defect Launch process.
• Manage the Lead Operations and Industrial Engineering Group (LOE and IE) and Change Management Process.
• Develop direct reports.
• Ensure that all program deliverables are met prior to accepting the program from Corporate.
• Coordinate competing interests for plant resources (skilled trades, floor space, operators, CMM, kaizen team, engineers, etc.).
• Resolve issues between the plant and outside functional groups.

Required Qualifications

• Strong manufacturing background.
• Launch and LOE Management Experience.
• Management experience of multiple discipline teams.
• Knowledge of application of lean principles, quality improvement processes, manufacturing process, and production management systems.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts and practical application of technology.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and drive improvements.
• Proficient in written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous launch experience (Tier 1 Automotive).
• 5-7 years' experience in a Manager's Role.
• Operations/Engineering Manager's experience in supervising hourly and salary personnel.
