Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an entry-level line cook to support food preparation at one of our outlets. You will set up stations, complete daily prep, cook and plate dishes, and maintain a clean, safe workstation in line with SpaceX standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, a culinary degree or 2+ years in food service, basic knife skills, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn in a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate required.
• Culinary degree or 2+ years of experience in the food service industry required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours; overtime may be required.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with standard kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, work, and maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Complete daily prep tasks.
• Help the team meet time and quality standards set by the supervisor.
• Cook and plate completed dishes for service.
• Clean kitchen equipment and work/storage areas.
