The Launch Flight Operations Specialist provides day-of-launch planning, rehearsal, and execution of launch and initialization activities for assigned missions. Missions could be NRO or other OSL sponsored programs. LFOS is accountable for the overall coordination, integration, and execution of NOPS and day-of-launch mission requirements.
This role requires close coordination with the SV Program, LV service contractor, launch base, Range, and other organizations. Duties include project and mission requirements, technical reviews, mission planning, coordination/support, anomaly resolution, and lessons learned adjudication. LFOS develops, updates, and standardizes Day-of-Launch (DoL) processes, procedures, and products, and coordinates with Range, launch vehicle contractors, and other stakeholders on changes to the DoL ConOps.
Additional tasks include supporting mission control operations, developing integrated mission scripts, managing mission issues, coordinating documentation, supporting launch campaigns, and ensuring operational readiness and support.
Entry level, with working knowledge of space launch systems. Must develop briefings and support launch activities. All Level II qualifications are required.
Mid-level, with at least 2 years of experience, extensive knowledge of launch policies, procedures, and satellite vehicle interfaces. Capable of analysis and quick issue resolution.
Senior level, with at least 5 years of experience, proven ability to work with government and mission partners, deliver briefings, assess risks, and support launch planning and execution. Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.

Salary range: $100,000 - $210,000/year, depending on experience and location. Benefits include PTO, holidays, flexible schedules, 401k match, bonuses, ESOP, tuition reimbursement, health insurance, and others.
