Job summary

Sigil Partners is seeking a hands-on Automotive Launch Engineer to drive new programs from feasibility through production launch. The role requires close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, tooling and suppliers to meet milestones and budgets.

You will support tooling, automation and equipment development, troubleshoot issues on the plant floor, and ensure smooth transitions through each launch stage from RFQ to SOP and ongoing production.

Qualifications

• Automotive manufacturing experience required.
• Experience supporting or leading new-product/program launches.
• Working knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes in automotive launches.
• Experience across launch lifecycle stages: feasibility, tooling, pre-production, SOP, and production.
• Ability to collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, Tooling, Process Engineering, Production, Purchasing and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own and support automotive programs from RFQ/feasibility through tooling, pre-production, SOP, safe launch, and ongoing production.
• Drive program timing, milestones, budgets, quotations, and engineering changes.
• Coordinate APQP and PPAP activities to keep launch requirements on schedule.
• Support manufacturing feasibility studies for new and existing programs.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Tooling, Process Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and suppliers.
• Support tooling, fixtures, automation, and manufacturing equipment through development and implementation.
• Troubleshoot launch and manufacturing issues directly on the plant floor.

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the technical side of automotive manufacturing but enjoys the bigger picture coordinating launches, solving manufacturing problems, working with customers and suppliers, and keeping programs moving through each critical milestone.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Manufacturing or engineering experience involving areas such as:
• Metal stamping / forming/ Welding OR welded assemblies OR Tooling / tool & die
• Experience taking an automotive program through multiple stages of the launch lifecycle

This is an onsite manufacturing role and is best suited for someone who enjoys being close to the product, equipment, and production floor—not managing programs entirely from behind a desk.
