Job summary

Aaron Family JCC of Dallas seeks aDirector to launch and lead the J Early Childhood Center - Plano, serving infants through Pre-K with up to 80 children. The role begins with six months of immersion in Dallas (Jan–Jun 2027) before relocating to Plano for the August opening.

The successful candidate will build a founding team, design learning environments, establish operational systems, enroll families, and uphold Jewish values in a warm, inclusive school culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in early childhood education.
• Minimum of three years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Proven track record leading teams, coaching educators, and building strong family relationships.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to obtain Texas Director Licensing credentials and CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Launch the J Early Childhood Center - Plano from planning through opening day.
• Establish the school's vision, culture, and family experience.
• Create operational systems, policies, and workflows to support excellence.
• Design classrooms and shared learning environments.
• Develop enrollment strategies and cultivate relationships with families.
• Build systems that support long-term growth and sustainability.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, mentor, and retain a founding team.
• Coach educators through observation and professional development.
• Lead educational excellence and ensure age-appropriate practice.
• Oversee daily operations, staffing, budgeting, licensing, and compliance.
• Support accreditation efforts toward NAEYC.
