Job summary

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Engage with new product content, participate in projects, and collaborate across departments.
• Support Launch and Change Coordinators by verifying bill of material and demand logic changes for vehicle production.
• Develop and optimize data analytical systems to improve processes and reporting.
• Create, manage, and validate component overviews for specific car parts.
• Contribute to Test Car BOM validation to ensure correct parts are assigned to vehicles.
• Support coordination of Line Trials for physical testing of new parts in production.
• Investigate design topics through data analysis and generate reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management or mentors.

About You

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Pursuing a BS or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, MIS, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Office Suite.
• Strong computer aptitude with ability to learn BMW Group systems, SAP, SQL, etc.
• Project management skills.
• Planning and organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Ability to work independently and show initiative.
• Preferred skills in VBA (or Python) and JAVA.
• Preferred knowledge or experience with manufacturing processes and workflows.
• German language skills are a plus.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year U.S. college or university with at least 30 credit hours completed.
• Transfer students must provide GPA from current university.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
• Must attach a copy of unofficial transcript.
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
• Work term dates: January 11th - May 14th, 2027.
