Sylvania is seeking a Latin Teacher to join Joel Barlow High School, starting with the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will develop and implement curriculum aligned with the ACTFL standards, instructing students at various levels including AP Latin.

Qualifications

• Appropriate CT teaching certification, World Language (Latin) 7-12, (021).
• Familiarity with or willingness to pursue ECE certification.
• Strong understanding of the developmental needs of young adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum aligned with the ACTFL World Language Standards.
• Instruct various levels of Latin, including AP Latin and ECE courses.
• Prepare lesson plans that achieve clear objectives.

Skills
