Naples Classical Academy in Naples, FL seeks a full-time Latin Teacher to join a 10-month, salaried program. The teacher will instruct Latin, develop lessons, and assess students across grade levels, reporting to the Head of School.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree and demonstrate strong Latin proficiency. Florida educator certification is preferred or eligibility with plans to obtain certification within two years.

Position Overview:
Latin at Naples Classical Academy gives scholars experience with the language of the ages in the Western tradition. Learning Latin begins in wonder. Through stories, poems, songs, and the written and spoken word, they learn the foundations of the language which they will carry with them into the upper levels of their schooling. The Latin teacher is responsible for using the school’s curricular resources to write lessons and teach students through grade levels. A good candidate should have strong facility with the Latin language and be able to lead the scholars with the firmness and gentleness appropriate to their age.

Required Qualifications:
Required- Bachelor Degree from accredited college or university (or graduating with a degree before the start of the new school year.)
Preferred- Prior Teaching Experience
Preferred- Possession of a Florida Educator Certification in corresponding subject area or Statement of Status of Eligibility showing eligible status in such subject area or desire to do so within 2 years of employment (NCA can provide information on obtaining the necessary cert for eligible candidates.)
Preferred- Degree in subject or related discipline
