Job summary

EverStaff is seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate manual and CNC lathes to turn, face, center, and finish metal rolls and components to precise specs, while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role offers full-time work with overtime and 100% company-paid benefits. You will receive hands-on training and opportunities to grow machining skills in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years manual lathe operation experience
• CNC lathe experience strongly preferred
• Experience with large industrial lathes in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and measurement units

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC lathes for turning, facing, centering, and finishing cuts on metal rolls and components
• Safely use overhead and jib cranes to set rolls and remove chip boxes and hook up chains
• Measure components with micrometers and calipers; read blueprints to verify dimensions
• Monitor machine operations to maintain tight tolerances and finish on necks and barrels
• Use hand tools and wrenches to lock/unlock rolls and adjust components
• Conduct visual inspections for defects and deviations
• Complete accurate production documentation for materials and time spent per job
• Collaborate with team, engineers and supervisors to meet production goals and support improvements
• Adhere to safety guidelines and report malfunctions promptly
