Job summary

Hadronics LLC is seeking a Lathe Operator to set up, operate, and adjust lathes to produce parts per engineering specifications. You will read drawings, select tooling and speeds, and inspect parts for quality while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role involves troubleshooting basic machining issues, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with the production team to meet schedules and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust manual, conversational, and/or CNC lathes.
  • Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds to meet part specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
  • Troubleshoot basic machining issues and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and document completed work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet schedules and improve machining efficiency and quality.

The Lathe Operator sets up, operates, and adjusts lathes to machine parts to precise specifications. This role works closely with supervisors and team members to maintain quality, meet production schedules, troubleshoot basic machining issues, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and part quality.
