We began as a mineral‑exploration drilling company in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in 1900, and have adapted with the times to become a manufacturer, in addition to the drilling side of the business. Our McKees Rocks (Pittsburgh) manufacturing location is seeking a machine operator to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and operate machinery, ensuring efficient production running.
• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Feed raw material or parts to semi‑automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Test operation of machines periodically.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Check output to spot any machine‑related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Maintain activity logs.
• Operate hand tools and other equipment.
• Maintain company equipment and tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working in manufacturing preferred.
• Problem‑solving capabilities and ability to work productively as part of a team.
• Mechanical ability and attention to detail required.
• OSHA 40 certification is a plus.

This position primarily works in a heavy manufacturing environment where the ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including exposure to heat and cold both inside and outside of the building, and around loud noises, is required. The employee will remain on feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time, carry objects up to 50 lbs., bend forward at the waist or by bending the legs and spine, grasp or reach and pick up objects, perform repeated motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, face shield, steel‑toe footwear, ear protection, and related gear must be worn.
