Job summary

Maxcess-Valley Roller Company, Inc. is seeking skilled grinder operators for second shift on a full-time basis in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities include reading schedules and blueprints, setting up grinding equipment, and inspecting finished rolls to meet dimensional tolerances. Positions include a +$2/hour premium for second shift, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and timely delivery of molded rubber rolls.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and understand English.
• Read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical documents.
• Write legible documentation conforming to prescribed style and format.
• Communicate effectively.
• Understand/apply basic math for measurements and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, and reports.
• Locate and retrieve rolls for grinding using overhead cranes and handling equipment.
• Prepare rolls for grinding and clean steel surfaces prior to installation.
• Set grinding equipment and install tooling, adjust and align rollers.
• Measure dimensions and ensure dimensional requirements and tolerances.
• Complete grinding operation and inspect finished product per requirements.
• Complete paperwork, inspection reports, and sign-off on jobs.
• Maintain clean work area and safely unload finished goods.
