Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Must meet POST standards.
• Minimum of three (3) years of full-time patrol experience with a law enforcement agency.
• Current and active peace officer certification (Colorado or another state) or reciprocity/refreshers.
• No felony convictions.
• Not under active Internal Affairs investigation.

Responsibilities

• Performs Police Officer duties, including communicating information, handling critical and dangerous situations, driving in routine and emergency conditions, making arrests and transporting arrestees.
• Communicates via radio and transmits information clearly on multiple channels.
• Detects and collects evidence to support probable cause.
• Operates police vehicle safely in non-emergency and emergency scenarios.
• Directs traffic, conducts patrols, and performs searches and related duties.
• Completes reports with clear, thorough documentation.
