Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• POST certificate or equivalent Colorado POST criteria is required.
• Knowledge of modern law enforcement principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas to maintain law and order and enforce laws.
• Respond to emergencies including crimes and disturbances.
• Collect and process evidence to support investigations.
• Enforce traffic laws and monitor speeds with radar.
• Interview suspects, victims, and witnesses in the field.
• Document activities through detailed reports and preserve evidence.
• Arrest and process prisoners and manage bookings.
• Provide testimony in judicial proceedings.
• Participate in department training programs.
