Qualifications

  • EMT certification (NREMT or VT EMT) required.
  • Firefighter 1 certification required, including training records.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fire suppression, EMS care, hazmat mitigation and rescue tasks.
  • Work with crew to meet department mission and safety standards.
  • Learn to drive and operate fire department apparatus during the first year.
  • Meet performance/ conduct expectations with minimal intervention.
  • Obtain AEMT licensure by the end of 24 months.
