Qualifications

• Must have prior service experience with a law enforcement agency.
• Certification/reciprocity requirements with Nevada POST.
• Must meet NAC289.110 hiring standards and pass online reciprocity course.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of detention facilities and grounds.
• Supervise inmates during meetings, recreation, and other activities.
• Assist with admission and discharge processing and transportation to court.
• Conduct searches of inmates for contraband and maintain safety and order.
• Prepare routine reports and maintain logs and inventories.
• Monitor fire/safety conditions and operate security equipment.
