Job Overview: A top-tier law firm is seeking a talented associate to join its M&A and Private Equity team in NY. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in M&A transactions and private equity matters. Associates will work closely with senior attorneys and take on substantial responsibilities, gaining exposure to a broad range of corporate matters.

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise corporate clients and private equity funds on acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, and similar transactions.
  • Provide guidance on general corporate matters, including governance and structuring.
  • Draft and review transaction documents such as purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and related contracts.
  • Manage complex M&A deals and ensure smooth execution from start to finish.
  • Develop and maintain direct relationships with clients.
  • Handle responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and client relationship building.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in M&A and/or Private Equity transactions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, market terms, and transaction structures.
  • Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating M&A transaction documents.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
