Job summary

City of Loveland’s Emergency Communications Center seeks a dedicated 911 Communications Specialist to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatch units, and manage CAD logs. You will operate multi-channel systems under pressure, ensuring rapid, accurate responses for police, fire, and EMS across Loveland and partner agencies.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be EMD certified or willing to obtain certification, and possess familiarity with local streets and county maps.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating CAD, radio and phone systems in high-stress environments.
• EMD certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of Loveland streets and Larimer County maps.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls on emergency and non-emergency lines and dispatch appropriate units.
• Monitor radio transmissions and maintain logs in CAD.
• Enter and relay information per CCIC/NCIC regulations.
• Work overtime including nights/weekends/holidays.
