Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant emergency communications or public safety dispatch experience.
• Proficiency with CAD and related public safety communications systems.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to type at least 40 WPM and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Strong time-management, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process emergency and non-emergency requests for police, fire, medical, and other public safety services.
• Interview callers quickly and accurately to determine incident details and enter data into CAD.
• Coordinate resources and relay information to responding agencies.
• Maintain calm, professional communication with callers in stressful situations.
• Document incident information, response activity, and timelines.
