Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in welding, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
• Hands-on experience with laser welding systems in production.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of weld metallurgy and joint design.
• Experience with weld inspection methods and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support fixture and tooling design for laser weld applications.
• Train operators and technicians on weld procedures.
• Maintain process documentation and work instructions.
• Coordinate with quality and production teams on continuous improvement.
• Develop and optimize laser welding processes for production parts.
• Set weld parameters and document process settings.
• Run trials and evaluate weld quality through visual and destructive testing.
• Troubleshoot weld defects and root causes on the line.
