Job summary

Visioneering, Inc. is seeking a Laser Tracker Operator to perform high-accuracy dimensional inspection using laser trackers and related metrology equipment in a precision tooling environment.

You will ensure assemblies and components meet AS9100 standards and customer requirements, interpreting engineering models and measurements for cross-functional teams. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled facility with state-of-the-art tooling, contributing to aerospace projects and continuous

Qualifications

  • 3 years of tooling experience required.
  • 3 years of QA experience required.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T/FT&A.
  • Proficiency with Verisurf software is preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand general job requirements in QA folder.
  • Assist in QA and build-support tasks as directed by the job lineup and quality plan.
  • Populate the Tool Inspection Record (TIR) or equivalent document.
  • Initiate tool tags based on inspection results (in-process or non-conformances).
  • Assist Lead Inspectors with customer buy-off efforts as needed.
  • Maintain Laser Tracker equipment used for job duties.

Position: Laser Tracker Operator

Schedule: Day Shift (Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p)

Summary of Position

The Laser Tracker Operator performs high accuracy dimensional inspection using laser trackers and related metrology equipment. This role ensures that complex assemblies, tooling, and fabricated components meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and AS9100 quality standards. The Tracker Operator interprets engineering models and blueprints, sets up and executes measurement routines, analyzes data, and communicates results to Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

Essential Functions

Daily roles include collaborating in a team-oriented environment with cross functional workers.

  • Responsible for reading and understanding general job requirements as supplied in the QA job folder by the Lead Inspector
  • Execution of required Build support or QA function as dictated by the job lineup, TIR and quality plan
  • Population of the TIR (Tool Inspection Record) or equivalent customer provided document
  • Initiation of any tool tag as a resulting from the inspection activity (In Process or Non-conformance)
  • Assist Lead Inspectors, as necessary, with any customer buy-off effort
  • Responsible for maintaining Laser Tracker equipment utilized to perform job duties
  • Utilization of the Document and Data control procedure to initiate, maintain and complete all electronic inspection records
  • Conformance to all applicable QMS procedures and work instructions
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to work independently with written and verbal direction
