Job summary

Keel is seeking a Laser Track Trainee to support dimensional inspection and measurements using portable laser tracking systems. This entry-level role provides hands-on learning in metrology under supervision, assisting with production, tooling verification, and quality tasks.

You will gain foundational skills in measurements, part inspections, and reporting while contributing to the team and safety standards. Training provided on equipment and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, quality, or inspection helpful but not required.
• Basic understanding of measurements and willingness to learn blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing fundamentals is a plus.
• Attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown of laser tracker equipment.
• Learn to operate laser tracker systems under close supervision.
• Support basic part inspections and measurement data collection.
• Help verify fixture and tooling dimensions.
• Assist with recording data and preparing simple inspection reports.
• Follow established metrology procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and support calibration log upkeep.
• Other related duties as assigned.
