Job summary

It's A Secret Med Spa in Austin, TX is seeking a Laser Technician to deliver high‑quality aesthetic treatments and maintain exceptional client care. You will perform laser services, coordinate with mid‑level providers, train peers, uphold safety protocols, and help manage inventory and charting while contributing to an upscale spa experience.

Strong licenses in Laser Technician and Medical Esthetician are required, with weekend availability and HIPAA compliance as a baseline.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Laser Technician license issued by the Department of Licensing required.
• Medical Esthetician License issued by the State required.
• Weekend work and flexible schedule required.
• Strong knowledge of laser, skin treatment procedures, esthetician practices and medical practice management.
• Must understand patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for transportation.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity.
• Perform laser services within scope of practice under issued licenses/certifications.
• Work closely with Mid-Level Providers for client care.
• May assist to train peers and new hires to ensure Company standards.
• Maintain strict medical protocols in line with state regulations and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain an upscale atmosphere with professional appearance and dress code.
• Perform laser services including Laser Hair Removal and Photo-facials.
• Perform aesthetics procedures such as dermaplaning, SkinPen microneedling, facials, peels, and HydraFacial.
• Assist with body contouring services such as CoolSculpting.
• Provide client-centered plans through services and product recommendations.
• Conduct full aesthetic consultations to meet client goals.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and manage inventory.
• Ensure accurate charting of client appointments and experiences.
• Attend continuing education and team meetings as requested.
• Report client concerns to senior staff in a timely manner.

A Day in the Life of a Laser Technician

• Provide exceptional service to our clientele to enhance customer satisfaction, experienceand productivity.
• Perform job duties within the scope of practice under your issued licenses/certifications.
• Work closelywith the Mid-Level Providers as needed for client care.
• May assist to trainpeers and new hires, to ensure Company standards
• Maintain strict medical protocols for all laser services, regarding state regulation, HIPAA and all other regulatory compliance programs that are set for by the Company.
• Maintain a professional neat appearance individually and adheres to approved dress code so ensure upscale atmosphere of the med spa.
• Perform laser services that are not limited to but include;Laser Hair Removal. Photo-facials
• Perform aesthetic servicesthat are not limited to but include;derma-planning, SkinPen micro-needling with and without PRP, facials, chemical peels, and HydraFacial.
• Perform body contouring services that are not limited to but include; CoolSculpting.
• Provide a client centered customized plan to meet their skin care needs through performing services, selling products and treatments.
• Perform full aesthetic consultations to meet all client's aesthetic short/long term goals.
• Maintain an elite, clean and organized work/treatment areas throughout the location.
• Assist withunpacking and storingorders acquiredwithin locations appropriately and timely.
• Assist with maintaining an appropriate inventory by communicating to management of inventory needs and inventorycounts.
• Ensure charting is accurate, timely, and completely performed to best depict all client appointments and experiences.
• Attendcontinuing education as requested by Clinical Management to excelin various skillsets.
• Attendand provideinput at all team meetings organized by your direct supervisor and clinical management.
• Ensure that client concerns are reported in a timely manner to the Senior Laser Technician, Manager, Mid-Level Provider and Operations Manager

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Laser Technician license issued by the Department of Licensing is required.
• Medical Esthetician License issued by the State is required.
• Be able to work weekends and have a flexible schedule is required.
• Must possess a strong and extensiveknowledge of laser, skin treatment procedures, esthetician practices and medical practice management.
• Ability to self-promote and engage in company social media with relation to meeting social media guidelines and expectations.
• Must understand patient/client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for transportation.
• Maintains a high level of integrity with a strong ethical foundation.
• Must have sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to reach above shoulder height, crawl, kneel and push/pull-up50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills, be highly organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
